This statement describes an accessibility target and ongoing work; it is not a formal claim that every page has been independently certified as conforming to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
1. Our commitment
Meridian Software Inc is committed to providing a website that can be used by people with diverse abilities, technologies, and ways of interacting. We aim to align the website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA and to improve accessibility as the website and products evolve.
2. Accessibility measures
The current website includes or is designed to support:
- semantic headings, landmarks, labels, and navigation;
- keyboard access and visible keyboard focus indicators;
- a skip link on legal pages and logical reading order;
- touch targets sized for mobile interaction;
- responsive layouts from small phones through large desktops;
- text resizing and mobile form controls that avoid forced zoom;
- reduced-motion preferences and high-contrast/forced-colour fallbacks;
- status messages announced to assistive technology where appropriate; and
- content that does not rely on colour alone to communicate essential meaning.
3. Browser and device compatibility
The website is designed for current and recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, and Chromium-based Android browsers. Automated responsive and interaction tests cover viewport widths from 320 to 1920 pixels, including phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops.
Accessibility depends on the combination of browser, operating system, assistive technology, settings, and third-party content. Older or unsupported software may not provide the intended experience.
4. Known limitations and third-party content
The website is still in development and has not yet undergone a full independent assistive-technology audit. Third-party services introduced later—such as scheduling, forms, embedded media, documents, or customer portals—may have accessibility limitations outside Meridian’s direct control. We will consider accessibility when selecting and configuring providers and will seek reasonable alternatives when a barrier is identified.
Product screenshots, case studies, downloadable documents, and new interactive functionality should be reviewed for accessible names, text alternatives, keyboard operation, colour contrast, reflow, and error handling before publication.
5. Feedback and alternate formats
If you encounter an accessibility barrier or need information in another format, email contact@meridiansoftware.ca or use the consultation form. Please describe the page, feature, assistive technology, and format that would help. Do not include sensitive personal information.
We will acknowledge accessibility feedback and aim to provide a substantive response within a reasonable period. Write “Accessibility Feedback” in the subject line or at the beginning of your message so it can be directed appropriately.
6. Ongoing review
We will review this statement and the website as content, services, products, and legal requirements change. Accessibility checks should be included in design, development, content review, and pre-launch testing rather than treated as a one-time activity.
